With a pool and outdoor Jacuzzi, this boutique hotel is located just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants and shops in Kloof Street. Derwent House offers free fibre-optic WiFi.

Each air-conditioned room at Derwent House comes equipped with a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. The rooms have a private bathroom with a bathrobe, slippers and amenities. There is also a self-catering studio available in the adjacent building.

Guests can watch a DVD from Derwent’s film library or ask the 24-hour reception staff to book a massage. The staff can also arrange shuttle services to Cape Town International Airport, a 20-minute drive away.

Free tea, coffee and cake are available throughout the day on the sun deck or in the bar. When weather is chilly, guests can relax by the fireplace with a complimentary glass of port or sherry.

Derwent House is situated an 8-minute drive away from the Table Mountain cable car. The V&A Waterfront, the Convention Centre and the beaches are a 15-minute drive away.

    There is so so much to love about this gem - the character, charm and decor, exceptional service, unsurpassed hospitality, and all the little extras (freshly baked cakes each afternoon, complimentary port or nightcap, great coffee at any time). Not to mention the headlined offers - great breakfasts, a relaxing jacuzzi, comfortable bedrooms, indoor and outdoor living. The list goes on....

    Wonderful boutique hotel away from the crowd of VA waterfront. At the base of table mountain and Lion's head. In a cosy quiet district of CPT. Very friendly staff. More than everything the place is locally decorated with a lot of colour. You really feel like staying with friends...Don't hésitate if you like to spend quite evenings

    I really enjoyed the feeling that you actually lived there instead of being in a hotel. I received great advice from the owners and they made me feel welcome and they were very friendly. The room was very inviting and 'homely'. Amazing experience. I would definitely go back with my wife and family.

    We loved our little apartment. We arrived to a full bread basket, full fruit basket and plenty of cookies, tea, coffee and milk. Even the wine was left ready for us! We will certainly stay again and would recommend Derwent House.

    Location c;lose to some lovely restaurants. Staff so helpful and had some really nice extra touches like afternoon tea and welcoming you back in the evening with a complimentary glass of Amaroula!
