    What a discovery in the middle of Cape Town.... A little gem owned by Katrin and Claus being amazingly kind and welcoming. You cannot refrain a "WOW" when entering the guesthouse. The living room is stunningly beautiful, and the rooms give an incredible "at home" feeling with personal decoration (special mention to the lullaby within the headboard!). The headboard is sculpted in the shape of Table Mountain, which you can see from the window above the bed ! Size of the room is super satisfying. The hosts are super helpful in giving tips to visit Cape Town and its region (restaurants, sites etc). The breakfast is the most wonderful experience with great choice and great discussions with the hosts. The fireplace and the cuddly cats were the "cherry on the cake" ! Definitely our chosen address whenever we come back to Cape Town !

    We enjoyed Himmelblau for two main reasons - wonderful hosts who cooked great breakfasts and were happy to chat on a variety of subjects as well as make excellent evening restaurant recommendations; and also for the decor and architecture of this renovated, traditional Cape Town. The rooms were well laid out with a tasteful modern decor, spacious, with a small outdoor area. The shower in our room was the best, ever!

    Superb breakfast; lovely view of Indian Ocean from our rooms; friendly staff and owner. Restaurant recommended for dinner was top-notch.

    The breakfast was served buffet style beautifully and if you wanted anything else, it was no trouble at all. The B&B is located in a very quiet safe street which is only a short walk into the central city, and the owners are very nice and hospitable. As an added bonus there is an excellent hairdresser only a few doors down.

    There is absolutely nothing to fault with this place! Stunning guesthouse, stunning breakfast with the most amazing hosts! Can’t wait to go back! The hosts bent over backwards to accommodate an extra friend on our final night!

    + hosts were really friendly and helpful + great map (self-made) with good recommendations (restaurants, sightseeing, shopping,...) + breakfast very good and amazing choice (especially for the size of the B&B) + safe area for Cape Town + stylishly furnished room + bathroom was great + from our room we could see Tablemountain + safe parking inside the gate Highly recommended! We would definitely book again.
