    Very delicate hotel with wonderful staff. Upon our arrival, it was very late but the hotel staff was still very patient, waiting for us. The gentleman helped us with the luggage and told us about this hotel. Very beautiful room with long history. Meet my expectations of British village life. Will absolutely come back again someday.

    Wonderful place! Beautiful gardens and stunning historic building. I had a lovely garden room. The staff was exceptionally helpful. A country haven yet so near to York.

    This hotel is the only one that I go to when I'm over in York. It's a fantastic hotel, ideally situated for visiting the city. Don't really want to say too much as I would like to keep it to myself !!

    Lovely staff. Very welcoming and always helpful. We ordered room service and the quality of the food was outstanding. The gardens were lovely to stroll around, and the 'deluxe' room I booked turned out to be a small suite with lounge, dressing room, and bedroom (plus bathroom). We had a super comfy bed too. Overall I felt very looked after and the whole stay was relaxing.

    Location was excellent, rural but close to city centre. Food and drinks very good. Staff were wonderful, very helpful. Spa was great.

    This is a beautiful hotel where you will be well looked after! The staff were so friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to make our stay feel really special. Rooms are huge and well-furnished, the spa was very good to relax in, and the breakfast was excellent. This is a great place to stay.
