    We arrived on the Saturday afternoon just staying one night in October. The location was easy to find. The accommodation was clean and suited the type of buildings that made up the complex. Even though the owners had gone out, they had left simple instructions for us to locate our room. The facilities were comprehensive; including the provision of tea, coffee and sugar but no milk; didn't matter as we had brought our own. The bed was very comfortable. The owners had produced a very useful information sheet on the history of the accommodation complex (previously a farm) and the village; we did go for a very enjoyable walk shortly after arriving. The heating system was excellent.

    Appliances and fittings etc all modern and good quality. Lovely shower. Big comfortable bed, very nice little sit in kitchen. Hosts accommodating and friendly. The close proximity to the Park and Ride into York city is a great bonus.

    The room/chalet was large and opened out on to a lovely garden, unfortunately it was raining. The bathroom was clean and a good shower. Tea making facilities good. Very private and no noise from adjacent rooms. Very friendly yet professional host. Breakfast plentiful and well cooked.
