    As soon as we walked through the door we were warmly greeted by Jamie. He took time out to tell us a bit about York. Our room had character. Really cute and clean. Homemade banana bread on a plate to welcome us. Our room was on the third floor, so the view was nice. Beds were so comfortable and even the pillows were fluffy. Awoke in the morning to the smell of fresh bread being baked for breakfast. Plenty of food served and the extras of cut up fresh fruit and juice. DID I MENTION THE HOMEMADE BREAD!!!!! YUMMO. The staff so friendly and informative. So glad we found St. Raphael Guest House in our search for a place to stay. Walking distance to downtown and the train station. Definitely will be visiting again.

    Friendly owners and staff. Excellent local knowledge Great location with parking. Fresh, well cooked breakfasts with home baked bread and a welcome slice of banana bread on arrival, nice touch!

    Just a beautiful comfortable place to stay. Very homely and what a beautiful breakfast room. Really felt at home and we will returning without a doubt.

    Great stay at St Raphael’s and would certainly recommend for short breaks in York. Very comfortable, clean room, with some lovely touches - fresh flowers and banana bread made me feel welcome and cared for. Breakfast was nice, with homemade breads. Sadly I’d eaten too much over the weekend to enjoy cooked! Within close walking distance of the town centre.

    This was an A1 Guest House. Fran and Jamie were so friendly and helpful. Everything you needed was available and the breakfast was first rate. The location was great for our work and the city centre

    The Guest house, the hosts were excellent, the room was bright, spotless and very comfortable. Breakfasts were plentiful, cereals, fresh fruits, fresh breads, variety of eggs, full English, plenty of tea, coffee or juices. Parking permit Easy walk into City centre. Excellent and highly recommended by my wife & I.

    Close to the centre of York, everything in walking distance. Owners were very welcoming, lovely rooms and the breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend this as the place to stay if you are visiting York
