    What a welcome lovely country inn warm welcoming service,, excellent value ,,staff were excellent too So helpful there knowledge of the areas and it’s surrounding were more than helpful nothing was to much trouble we had full Yorkshire breakfast it was cooked to perfection and what a feast that is the portions are BIG we also ate in the restaurant again well cooked delicious food .we found this a friendly Inn clean with good food and a great Yorkshire welcome excellent value

    I had a full english breakfast each day and my wife had her scrambled eggs on toast both of which were cooked to order and tasted great.the weather was good so we were able to sit and have a relaxing tea /coffee or alcoholic drinks in our own guests private garden.

    Bathroom was good shower/fittings of a good standard. Decent bathroom compared to many hotels. Although towels were not as good as most hotels.

    Brilliant location as so close to Park & Ride into York . Plenty of free parking, and a large garden for residents' use only, completely separated from the pub garden. Good food and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our host even allowed us back after checking out and having got completely soaked in a cloudburst in York - loaning us a towel so we could change out of our wet things before travelling on. That was really going the extra mile !!
