    Lisa and Aaron were incredibly accommodating, breakfast was above and beyond what we expected, and all the food and drink was well cooked, presented and homely. They were really helpful with local information, and were happy to offer us late check out as we were dining with them for lunch. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the shower had good pressure and was easy to use. The bed gave us a great night sleep, and as we were the first guests to arrive - we had our pick of the rooms. There was ample wardrobe space - and the property was excellent value for money. Previously I’ve stayed at hotels 3 times the cost - and the Fox Inn exceeded them by miles! Will definitely be back - and have already been singing their praises to friends and family.

    The room was spacious clean and modern. The Fox is a nice little country pub about 20mins on bus out of york in a lovely little village. It has a bus stop right outside which is really convenient if you don't want to drive around and pay for city parking.The continental breakfast had a good range. The couple that run the fox was very helpful and welcoming we really regret not having a few drinks whilst we was their as they seemed like great company. Would reccomend

    Spotless room and bathroom, I had room 2 in the attic. Great meals with lots of choice. Landlord/lady were both welcoming and couldn't do enough to make your stay enjoyable, which it was.

    Room was excellent, comfortable and clean. The pub was charming with a good selection of ales and the best 'pub grub' I have ever had. Conveniently located a short distance from York. Staff were great. Continental breakfast available early which was necessary as we were working.
